THE VICTORIOUS MAGAZINE

 A Brief History of This Publication


The "I Am Victorious," magazine commonly known as "Victorious," magazine was started in November 2022. The idea for the magazine initiative presented itself much earlier in the year but was set into action in November. 

The first edition of "Family" was successfully released in December 2022, and since then, the publication has continued to advance in its growth and stages, with each new edition being an improvement on the previous.




The Audience - The Target

  • The Victorious Magazine is a publication targeted at the following things:


  • Providing practical answers to questions young people have

  • Helping young people learn and grow in the relative and applicable knowledge of Christ



  • Helping young people understand the difference between good and right choices

  • Providing a platform where youths can raise their voice in one accord

  • Addressing the challenges young people face and providing possible solutions

From the above, it's very easy to guess our target audience: Young people.



Our Message: To Everyone

The central message of this publication is purposeful discovery and action. Why?

  • We believe every human being is born with a specific assignment that requires accomplishment on Earth.


  • The reason most people live their lives without a sense of direction or fulfillment is that they do not know their purpose in life.


  • A man who knows his purpose will wake up every day for it and will sleep every night for it too.

Why do we have so many youths drinking, smoking, and engaging in vices so often? And yet, we also have some youths who are dedicated to a specific cause and give it their all. The first set has a sense of purpose and is pursuing it, while the other set is doing the opposite.

So our message is all about purpose. We aim to help young people discover their message and bring it into action so that they can be beneficial to themselves, their world, and the world. This is the revolver of all our articles and activities.

 

The initial plan for the magazine was for nine editions. But, in time, we decided to make it 12 editions, one for each month.


Mode of Participation: For Writers and Contributors

The initial magazine consisted of one writer, but over time, many writers and guest writers from all over the world have come to contribute to its variety of content. The "Dead Poets Society" group initiative gave birth to the "Creative Writers Crew," a vast community of talented and unique writers helping each other grow through various tasks and activities. So, it's a publication by young people for young people.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who has contributed in diverse ways to the success of every month's magazine subjects. In the course of your research, keep the following things in mind

  • Audience: Remember that you are communicating with young people, and as such, your content should not be bogus, boring, or unappealing.  

The best way to create rich content is to make it engaging. 

How? Bring in questions, sometimes rhetorical, riddles, suggestions, true or false options, personal encounters, etc. These elements in an article are what make the article worth reading.

  • Your Story: If you have an experience or story about the topic you're working on, you can also share it in your research. 

Your story helps our readers see practical solutions to challenges

 

For example, if you share a story of how you were able to come out of a certain addiction, many readers in that situation would be motivated to try the same steps you did.

  • Not a Lecture: While gathering points for your topics, please go straight to the points and address the situation from the standpoint of a third-party dialogue. That means hitting the nail right on the head and moving on to the next point. Of course, this doesn't take the place of making it engaging, but it also shouldn't be a lecture.


  • The quality and quantity of the research depend solely on the writer.

Teaching and Learning - The Inspiration

Please understand that the process of research is not just so you can gather points but also so you can learn from it. For example, if you're researching the topic "Building Healthy Relationships" while compiling points on the subject, you also need to learn from the points you're gathering. That means, as you help others learn about relationships, you should also increase your knowledge on the subject.

This is why we give 2 weeks for the research—to help the writers learn and, therefore, inspire. What better way is there to learn?

In progress are publications that feature icons in society and help broaden their reach. These are people who have been able to achieve a few feats in the journey of life and have a story to tell. 



This publication looks to project that story while also presenting a discussion on the subject.
